2. Man of Steel (56 points)
There has been a real reappraisal of Man of Steel in the wake of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Justice League – and the film topped four of our writer’s lists. So high were the votes for Man of Steel that it nearly took the top spot on a few occasions. However that was reserved for only one movie, and its one that thoroughly deserves it.
1. Wonder Woman (62 points)
Winning the inaugural DCEU Rankings by just eight points (which this writer was very surprised by) is Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman. Topping a whopping eight of our writer’s lists, it’s more of a surprise that Wonder Woman didn’t run away with this poll. A success of superb performances, stellar casting and excellent direction, Wonder Woman is a triumph in what has been a mostly disappointing expanded universe. We will see how Wonder Woman fares in next year’s poll with the release of Aquaman, but this writer believes it will retain its place for a few years to come.
