Deborah Ann Woll joins Daredevil as Karen Page

July 17, 2014 by Gary Collinson

True Blood actress Deborah Ann Woll has joined the cast of the Netflix series Daredevil. She will play the female lead and the love interest for Matt Murdock. Page appeared in the first Daredevil #1 comic back in 1964 and was Murdock’s longest-running love interest before her death at the hands of Bullseye.

In the comics, Page is the secretary at Matt Murdock’s law firm and was infatuated with the blind hot shot lawyer the moment they met. The character actually featured in the 2003 Daredevil movie being portrayed by Ellen Pompeo, however all of her scenes were deleted from the final cut.

The cast of Daredevil has been growing for the last few weeks with Charlie Cox (Stardust) as Matt Murdock, Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket) as the Kingpin, Elden Henson (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay) as Foggy Nelson, Peter Shinkoda (Falling Skies) as Hachiro and Rosario Dawson (Sin City: A Dame to Kill For) in an as-yet-unrevealed role.

The 13 episode series is set to be released on Netflix in 2015.
