For anyone not up to date with Game of Thrones, spoilers follow…
As readers of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire will be aware, the television series Game of Thrones is quickly catching up to its source material – or, in the case of Bran Stark’s storyline, moving beyond what we’ve read in the books.
Well, it seems that producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will be giving Martin a chance to catch up with that strand, as Kristian Nairn (Hodor) has indicated that Bran (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) and company will be absent from the fifth season of the epic fantasy series.
“We have a season off and we have a year’s hiatus, solely because I imagine our storyline is up to the end of the books,” Nairn tells Yahoo. “So, I get my year off now to do Rave of Thrones and gallivant all over the world.”
So, we could be waiting until 2016 to find out what happens next for Bran, Hodor and Meera (Ellie Kendrick) now they’ve met up with The Three-Eyed Raven, unless we get The Winds of Winter beforehand of course…
