Rihanna linked to James Bond 24?

Before you get too excited, this is being reported by UK newspaper The Sunday Mirror and only has quotes from an “unnamed source”, but there are some who are claiming that pop singer Rihanna is being linked to the upcoming 24th Bond movie.

Rihanna’s previous acting experience includes the much-maligned Battleship. If the rumours are true, it would be likely that Rihanna would be taking on the legendary “Bong Girl” role.

“Rihanna is a big fan of the Bond films and has always loved the idea of appearing in one”, the unnamed source who might not exist said. “She didn’t even need to think about it, she knows she wants to do it. She’s really excited.”

The yet-to-titled Bond 24 will start shooting in December and reunites Skyfall director Sam Mendes with Daniel Craig, who is making his fourth appearance as 007, while the cast also includes the returning Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Rory Kinnear.

As yet, there’s been no official word on new additions to the cast, although the producers are apparently seeking a physically imposing henchmen in the vein of Jaws and Oddjob, while the likes of Chiwetel Ejiofor and Lea Seydoux have also been linked to roles.
