Having given up the director’s chair on the fifth instalment of the Transformers franchise, Michael Bay has entered talks with Paramount to direct 13 Hours, a retelling of the terrorist attack on the U.S. Special Mission Compound in Benghazi, Libya on September 11th, 2012.
Based on Mitchell Zuckoff’s book Thirteen Hours: A Firsthand Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi, 13 Hours has been adapted by Chuck Hogan (The Strain) and will reportedly by similar in tone to Bay’s The Rock, as well as Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down.
