Felicity Jones “would love” Black Cat role

November 3, 2014 by Thomas Roach

Felicity Jones has been promoting her latest movie The Theory of Everything and during an interview with GQ Magazine, the British actress was asked about playing the character Black Cat in The Amazing Spider-Man film series following her appearance as Felicia in The Amazing Spider-Man 2:

“Being vacuum-packed into a leather suit, doing backflips?! I’d love that,” she admitted. “Can you start a petition for me?”

So it sounds that Felicity is behind the idea and this could suggest that her character from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was always intended to be Black Cat. However, with the future of the Spider-Man franchise at Sony up in the air, it is certainly questionable if she will ever get to play the character, especially with rumours circulating that the studio could be looking towards a soft reboot with The Sinister Six. However, it’s also been reported that Sony has ambitions for a spin-off centred on the female characters of the Spider-Man universe, so you never know…

Would you like to see Felicity Jones playing Black Cat in in Sony’s Spider-Man franchise? Let us know…
