Jared Leto refers to Fight Club when asked about Joker role in Suicide Squad

November 21, 2014 by Thomas Roach

Since winning as Oscar for his role in Dallas Buyers Club, Jared Leto has become a highly sought after actor. Leto is supposedly being considered for several roles in upcoming comic book movies. His name has been mentioned a few times for Doctor Strange, although most recently it’s been said that he is being sought to play The Joker in Suicide Squad.

In an interview with MTV, Leto was asked about if he is playing the Clown Prince of Crime, to which he responded: “You know there’s a film called Fight Club, my friend. And you know the first rule is, don’t you? Enough said.”

Leto went on to say: “I’m not really in a hurry to jump into a film unless its something I can’t say no to.”

We will likely get an official casting announcement on Suicide Squad over the next few months and then we will discover if there is any truth to this rumour.

David Ayer is shooting Suicide Squad next year for an August 5, 2016 release date.

Do you think this indicates that Jared Leto is being considered for the role? Let us know…
