Script complete for Guillermo del Toro’s Justice League Dark movie

November 26, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Having been absent from Warner Bros.’ big announcement about its DC slate through to 2020, it was starting to look like Guillermo del Toro’s long-planned adaptation of the Justice League Dark comic book had gone the way of many of the filmmaker’s other previous projects.

However, it seems that the tentatively-titled Dark Universe is still very much alive, with del Toro revealing to Forbes that the screenplay is complete and is now in the hands of the studio. Warner is expected to give its reaction in a couple of days, at which point it could take a step further towards becoming a reality, should the script impress the powers that be.

Are you still excited at the prospect of exploring the supernatural side of the DC universe, and how do you think it would fit in with Warner’s current DC plans? Let us know your thoughts…
