DC fans have had to suffer through a fairly barren couple of years when it comes to seeing their heroes on the big screen, but that hasn’t been the case when it comes to the small screen, and it seems that DC’s TV expansion is showing little sign of slowing down.
In addition to Arrow, The Flash, Gotham and Constantine, Supergirl has received a series commitment, and now it looks like TNT’s live-action Teen Titans project Titans has been given the go ahead, with DC’s Geoff Johns revealing on Twitter that a pilot will shoot next year – and given that it’s December, we may not have long to wait until we hear who’s set to portray Nightwing and company.
Titans has been written by Akiva Goldsman (Batman Forever, Batman & Robin) and Marc Haimes (The Last Word) and will revolve around Dick Grayson as he emerges from the shadow of Batman to become Nightwing, the leader of a fearless band of new Super Heroes including Starfire, Raven and many others.
