A rumour popped up late last month that suggested Disney were looking to retool/reboot the Indiana Jones franchise and use Guardians of the Galaxy’s Chris Pratt in the leading role to replace Harrison Ford. Last week, another report came to light that original Indiana Jones director Steven Spielberg himself was interested in helming the project, but there was no official confirmation of this.
On the red carpet of the Oscars last night, Pratt was asked about the rumours and if there is any truth to them:
“It’s all nothing until it’s something and so far it’s not something,” the actor told MTV. “I don’t think it’s overwhelming to contemplate. It’d be cool. No one’s called me. [There’s] a lot of talk about it. The pressure would come just because it’s such a great franchise you wouldn’t want to get it wrong, so for me it would have to be perfect to do it. We’ll see, like I said it’s nothing until it’s something.”

Chris Pratt will next be seen in Jurassic World, which is executive produced by Steven Spielberg.
