If there is one thing we know for sure, it’s that the production of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad is going to be a fun one. The director has been tweeting several images over the last few weeks (see here and here) and this is likely to continue once the film goes into production this April.
His latest tease? The idea that the Suicide Squad could cross paths with the Justice League. Check it out below:
The eternal question: To canon, or not to canon? 😉

Ayer also took to Twitter to tweet a philosophical question about Harley Quinn, who is set to be played by Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street).
“The case of Harley Quinn: Her madness defines her. Is she mad because of WHO she loves or because she loves him so much?,” the director tweeted.
Suicide Squad is still currently a cast member down since Tom Hardy left the project due to scheduling conflicts and promotional tours of Mad Max: Fury Road. Jake Gyllenhaal had been approached, but has since turned the project down.

Suicide Squad is set for release on August 5th 2016 and will be directed by David Ayer (Fury) with a cast that also includes Will Smith (Hancock) as Deadshot, Jai Courtney (Terminator: Genisys) as Captain Boomerang, Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) as The Joker and Viola Davis (How to get Away with Murder) as Amanda Waller. Jesse Eisenberg (The Double) is expected to reprise his role as Lex Luthor. You can hear the thoughts on the Flickering Myth Podcast on the cast of Suicide Squad using the player below:
