It looks like the cult 80s horror anthology series Tales from the Darkside could be heading back to the small screen, with The CW ordering a pilot for a new hourlong series.
The project is being produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, with writer Joe Hill (Horns) penning the screenplay for the pilot. The trio have previously worked on a pilot for Locke & Key, which was based upon Hill’s own graphic novel.
Created by horror master George A. Romero, Tales from the Darkside launched in 1984 and ran for four seasons and 90 episodes in total, including the original pilot. It also spawned a movie, the appropriately-titled Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, which saw Hill’s dad Stephen King contributing a short story.
