With excitement building for the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron next month, Marvel Studios is already gearing up to go into production on its first release of 2016 (and Phase Three) in the eagerly-anticipated Captain America: Civil War. Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, Rush star Daniel Bruhl has shared his excitement about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although he remained tight-lipped as to which character he’s set to play.
“I am not supposed to say anything. I cannot even talk about the part, really, because I would be too afraid to give something away and then I’ll end up in the Marvel prison and I do not want that… It’s huge for me. From the world I am coming from and the movies I have done, this feels big—megalomania and huge. I think I will be walking around for the first week being amazed, like a little boy, to be in that universe. It is going to be fantastic. It is something new. That is why it is a challenge. But it is something I am very much looking forward to because this is entertainment on the highest level.”
So, who do you think Bruhl is playing? Baron Zemo, or someone else?
Captain America: Civil War is set for release on April 29th 2016 in the UK and May 6th in the States, with a cast that includes Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier), Frank Grillo (Crossbones) and Daniel Bruhl (Rush).
