Ever since Jeremy Renner first picked up the bow in his fleeting cameo in Thor, there has been speculation and rumour of Hawkeye getting his own solo movie. But along with Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and Mark Ruffalo’s Incredible Hulk, are were no plans in place for any solo-outings in Phase Three – which means there would be no solo movies as of right now before 2019.
For Renner though, it’s all about focusing on Avengers: Age of Ultron.
“Those things are in the future,” Renner told Yahoo! Movies. “[Avengers: Age of Ultron] has still got to do well for there to be an Avengers 3. No one is counting that egg.”
“We just make the best movie we can now, and if Avengers 3 rolls around, and people want to see that, then that happens,” he continues. “If there’s anything else that happens, that’s not really for any one person to determine.”
Did no one tell Jeremy Renner that Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 & 2 had already been announced?
