Kevin Smith confirms Jeremy London is returning for Mallrats 2

March 27, 2015 by admin

Another day, another original cast member joins the cast of Mallrats 2.

We heard the other day that his partner in crime Jason Lee was looking to buy some more chocolate covered pretzels, and now director Kevin Smith has announced via his social media channels that T.S could ruin some more mall-based game shows.

Yep, Jeremy London has joined the cast of Mallrats 2. Check out the tweet below:

T.S. Quint proposes a return to the Jaws ride! @SirJeremyLondon going back to the MALL, ya’ll! 8 down, 4 to go! #MR2 pic.twitter.com/laSdWqtheB

Many fans have felt that London was the weak link in the original Mallrats, released back in 1995, as he was constantly forgetting lines on-set. Smith admitted during the director’s commentary that London spent the majority of the filmed stoned, hence his performance. Given Smith’s new taste for life, they might get along like a house on fire nowadays!

So who’s left? Well that would be Claire Forlani (Brandi), Joey Lauren Adams (Gwen), Renee Humphreys (Tricia) and Ben Affleck (Shannon). With Affleck busy in the DC Universe as The Dark Knight, could he be the missing link?

Mallrats was released in 1995 and was Kevin Smith’s first studio film after indie sensation Clerks. The film was a huge flop at the box office, but earned a cult status. Smith has said that he is doing the movie as a tribute the producer of the original movie, who passed away last year.
