It’s fair to say that Paul Feig’s upcoming female-led Ghostbusters reboot hasn’t got off to the best of starts, with many fans disappointed in the cast that the Bridesmaids director has assembled for the film. And now comes more talk that’s likely to cause some unrest amongst the fanbase, with the director revealing that he’s undecided about whether he’s going to make use of the iconic Ghostbusters theme…
“We have ways to bring it in that we’re playing with, so we’ll see,” Feig told E! Online when asked about the iconic theme song’s inclusion in the reboot during the premiere of his latest film Spy at SXSW. “It’s such an iconic thing that part of you goes, ‘I don’t want to change it,’ but then another part of you wants to update it. It’s one of the biggest questions we’re faced with.”
Will you be disappointed if the Ghostbusters theme isn’t used in the reboot, and would you like to see an updated version? Let us know your thoughts…
Ghostbusters is set for release on July 22nd, 2016 and features a cast that includes Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids), Melissa McCarthy (The Heat), Leslie Jones (We Are Family) and Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live).
