Having passed the $600 million mark over the weekend and in the wake of the news of Frozen 2 getting the green light, it seems rather likely that Big Hero 6 will also be getting a sequel. And if you ask Genesis Rodriguez (who plays Honeylemon in the movie), it’s a strong possibility.
“There’s rumblings of something else happening,” Rodriguez told Screenrant. “I mean yesterday I just saw that it’s the third most grossing Disney animated feature, so this is huge for them. I doubt that they wouldn’t want to do another one. It was a huge success.”
“Just like comic books, you could make it a complete different story and the superheroes reunited to attack someone else,” she continues. “So it’s a perfect little setup they got for a sequel if they wanted to.”
