Wolverine 3 to start shooting early next year

March 6, 2015 by Gavin Logan

The Wolverine himself Hugh Jackman recently admitted that he wanted to play the character for the rest of his life and he’s also been talking about the possibility of making a cameo in the upcoming Tim Miller directed Deadpool, due to be released February 12th 2016. If that wasn’t enough to whet the appetite of comic-book fans everywhere he recently admitted in an interview that he “would love it” if Wolverine would team up with The Avengers and thinks that there “is a possibility it could happen.”

There’s no evidence to suggest that any of these will happen and it’s probably just Jackman teasing fans and hyping up X-Men: Apocalypse and the following movies within the X-Men universe. Not that he needs to do much more hyping since Bryan Singer and Ryan Reynolds have been doing their fair share on their own Instagram and Twitter accounts.

And now director James Mangold has revealed when Wolverine 3 will begin shooting on his own Twitter feed:

There still hasn’t been any confirmation about what story Wolverine 3 might follow but the Mark Millar written Old Man Logan has been heavily rumoured. Patrick Stewart has also been confirmed to make an appearance. With the rumblings that FOX want their own shared universe then perhaps we might see Wolverine have some say in the Deadpool and Gambit movies too…?
