Warning – there be spoilers round these parts…
Last week, we had some set photos from Captain America: Civil War which saw Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) attending a funeral. At the time, we wrote that it would be no big surprise who it would be, but now we officially know.
The below photo was taken by an extra, who stole the prop from the set and posted it to Tumblr. While it might not be real, Marvel Studios did ask the poster to take it down.
Check it out below:
As we said, no real surprises here.
Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
Captain America: Civil War is set for release on April 29th 2016 in the UK and May 6th 2016 in the States, with Anthony and Joe Russo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) directing a cast that includes Marvel Cinematic Universe veterans Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/Falcon), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton/Hawkeye), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier), Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch), Paul Rudd (Scott Lang/Ant-Man), Emily VanCamp (Sharon Carter) and Frank Grillo (Brock Rumlow/Crossbones) alongside new additions Chadwick Boseman (Get on Up) as T’Challa/Black Panther, Daniel Bruhl (Rush) as Baron Zemo, William Hurt (General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross) and Martin Freeman (The Hobbit) in an as-yet-unrevealed role.
