Well, it’s fair to say that Channing Tatum was not a fan of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
“Look, I’ll be honest. I fucking hate that movie. I hate that movie,” the actor said in an interview with Howard Stern. “I was pushed into doing that movie. From Coach Carter, they signed me to a three-picture deal. They give you the contract and they go, ‘Three-picture deal, here you go.’ And as a young [actor], you’re like, ‘Oh my god, that sounds amazing, I’m doing that!’”
“The script wasn’t any good,” he adds, noting that he’d watched the cartoon growing up and wanted to play Snake Eyes in the film. “I didn’t want to do something that I thought was 1.) bad, and 2.) I just didn’t know if I wanted to be G.I. Joe.”
He does however note that he was “super lucky and blessed” to be a part of the movie, but felt like he had no option but to do the movie otherwise he’d be sued.
What about you? Do you fucking hate G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra?
