Jason Statham rumored for Bullseye role in Daredevil season 2

June 5, 2015 by James Garcia

The Man Without Fear may be facing off with Bullseye when Daredevil returns next year, and if this new rumor proves true, he’s in for one hell of a fight.

According to Latino-Review, action movie superstar Jason Statham – who recently took a villainous turn in this year’s Furious 7 – is being courted for the role of Bullseye, the mysterious assassin who serves as Daredevil’s longtime nemesis and is responsible for the death of Elektra (who’s also rumored to appear).

The site also notes that villains like Mr. Fate and Spider-Man foe Mysterio may appear as well. Both villains have had run-ins with Daredevil in the comics, but Mysterio showing up is a bit surprising. Hopefully, that means that the door is open for the friendly-neighborhood wall crawler to show up in some capacity as well…

Shooting for the second season is said to begin at the end of this month or into July, so we should hopefully hear more official news in the coming weeks. In the meantime, let us know how you feel about Statham playing Bullseye in the comments.

UPDATE: Various sites have reached out to Marvel about this rumour and are reporting that there’s no truth to Latino-Review’s report.

Daredevil will return to Netflix for its second season next Spring.
