Last week, Marvel announced that The Punisher is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Jon Bernthal securing the role of Frank Castle in the upcoming second season of Netflix’s Daredevil.
Now, during a promotional interview with ABC News, the Fury and The Walking Dead star has briefly shared his excitement, say’s he’s “thrilled” with the chance to portray the fan-favorite vigilante:
“Oh man, it’s just a huge honor to play the part and that’s all I can say about that. I’m very thrilled and we haven’t started yet, but I’m very much looking forward to it.”

Season two of Daredevil will arrive in Netflix in 2016, with Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock) and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple) so far confirmed as returning. Expect the likes of Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) and Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) to be back, while there’s also been rumours that we’ll see the introduction of both Elektra and Bullseye.
