During an interview with the Seattle Times, Flight of the Conchords star Jemaine Clement has revealed that a sequel to the rather excellent vampire mockumentary What We Do in the Shadows is in the early planning stages.
According to the report, the follow-up to Clement and Taika Waititi’s comedy will focus on Rhys Darby’s Anton and his werewolf pals (“we’re werewolves, not swear-wolves).
Meanwhile, speaking to AV Club, Pennant has also revealed that they are pitching a TV spinoff called Police Ten 7, which will centre on the male and female police officers in the film:
“We’ve pitched a show for those two cops in New Zealand and we’ve made a mini-pilot. At the moment it’s a paranormal activity division of the New Zealand police department. But we’ve already been told before we even handed it in that there’s no money for comedy and that TVNZ tried to make a comedy about a real estate agent and it didn’t go very well. But we still handed it in.”
