Training Day TV series in development

August 11, 2015 by Gary Collinson

It looks like Training Day could be the latest film to make the jump to the small screen, with Deadline reporting that director Antoine Fuqua and producer Jerry Bruckheimer are working on a TV version of the 2001 crime thriller.

According to the site, former LAPD detective Will Beall (Gangster Squad) is penning the drama, which will again revolve around the relationship between a corrupt older cop and a rookie, and will take place 15 years after the movie.

Fuqua and Beall are set to executive produce the potential pilot, with Fuqua also expected to direct.
