Kate Mara hasn’t seen Fantastic Four yet, says Josh Trank’s tweet was “highly disappointing”

September 13, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Given that its barely scraped $150 million at the global box office, it seems that plenty of people decided to skip 20th Century Fox’s superhero reboot Fantastic Four, and that even extends to the cast, with Kate Mara revealing she’s yet to see the final product herself.

“No, [I haven’t seen it] but I will eventually,” Mara told the British newspaper The Times, stating that the negative reviews her left her “a little bit gun shy.”

Mara then went on to call Josh Trank’s decision to tweet negatively about the final cut of the film on the eve of its release as “highly disappointing”, adding that:

“It was a tricky shoot but you know… When you know when you’re shooting it that a film isn’t going to be what you want it to be? That was not the case at all. [We all] really had each other’s backs. That’s the thing that makes me most bummed because we have no idea if we’ll ever make another one.”
