Warning: There could be major spoilers in this news item…
It looks like the bad weather in Skellig Michael, Ireland have halted the shooting of Star Wars: Episode VIII. It was reported yesterday that Rian Johnson was set to start filming, but the poor weather and sea swells have made the area inaccessible to the cast and crew.
And who was spotted in that crew? None other than Mark Hamill, who checked into a nearby hotel with his family.
Now this can be either one of two things: it could just be Mark dropping by to see how the production was going (much like Mark Ruffalo did for Captain America: Civil War), or it could be a spoiler that Luke Skywalker will be back for Star Wars: Episode VIII following the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
SEE ALSO: Mark Hamill almost died during the filming of Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Star Wars: Episode VIII is slated for release on May 26th 2017, with Benicio Del Toro joining the cast for a villain role. As yet, there’s no word on returning cast members, although you’d assume the majority of those who survive The Force Awakens will be back for the next chapter.
