J.J. Abrams says it’s “no accident” that Luke Skywalker is missing from Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster and trailer

October 27, 2015 by admin

Since the release of the new poster and trailer last week, there has been a lot of speculation among fans about where Luke Skywalker is in the marketing for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Many feel that he’s jumped to the Dark Side, and going by the thread of comments from this article, there are a lot of other theories going round about where the Jedi Knight could be in the seventh entry of the series.

So the question is: where is Luke? One person who would know, is director J.J. Abrams.

“These are good questions to be asking. I can’t wait for you to find out the answer,” Abrams told AP while on the red carpet of the GLSEN Respect Awards. When pushed if there was a reason why Luke has been left off the marketing for the movie, Abrams simply responded with, “it’s no accident.”

More fuel to the fire, it would seem.
