Tom Holkenborg – a.k.a. Junkie XL – has taken to Twitter to announce that he’ll be composing the score to 20th Century Fox’s hotly-anticipated X-Men spinoff movie Deadpool.
The Dutch composer’s previous film credits include the likes of 300: Rise of an Empire, Divergent and Mad Max: Fury Road, while he’s also a regular collaborator with Hans Zimmer, having contributed additional music to The Dark Knight Rises and Man of Steel, along with the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Deadpool is set for release on February 5th 2016 in the UK and February 12th 2016 in the States. Reynolds and Miller will share the screen with Morena Baccarin (Gotham) as Copycat, Gina Carano (Fast & Furious 6) as Angel Dust, Ed Skrein (Game of Thrones) as Ajax, Andre Tricoteux (Seventh Son) as Colossus, Leslie Uggams (Roots) as Blind Al and newcomer Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
