Having stepped in to rewrite Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish’s screenplay after Wright’s departure from the project, Adam McKay has revealed that he’d be keen to return for the Ant-Man sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp, assuming if can work out schedule-wise.
“I was talking to Paul Rudd about it the other day,” McKay tells THR. “We’ll see what happens, but that would certainly be fun. I loved working with Marvel. And I have a couple of projects in development. One of them is more dramatic, one’s more comedy, still with a little bit of political teeth to it. And there’s a TV show idea I’ve been kicking around.”
Ant-Man and the Wasp will see Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly returning as Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne, while Peyton Reed is in talks to return to direct. The film is set for release on July 6th, 2018.
