With James Wan (Fast & Furious 7) on board to direct, The Hollywood Reporter has now revealed that screenwriter David Leslie Johnson (Red Riding Hood, Wrath of the Titans) has signed on to write 2018’s Aquaman movie.
The studio has previously hired Will Beall and Kurt Johnstad to pen separate scripts for the movie, and the report claims that it is unclear with Johnson will be producing a third script, or working with Wan to streamline the project. Johnson has previously collaborated with Wan on the upcoming horror sequel The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist, which Wan is currently shooting.
