Harrison Ford wants “nothing to do” with the Han Solo movie

December 17, 2015 by admin

The stars of Star Wars: The Force Awakens were in London this morning for a press conference to promote the release of the new movie (read our review here). And with Harrison Ford in attendance, someone was clearly going to ask about the Anthology movie being made about a younger version of Han Solo. But Ford clearly wants no part of it.

“I want to have nothing to do with it,” he replied to the question, before saying that he’s glad someone gets to play a younger version of himself. “I’m glad that somebody else is is going to have the burden of being young. It’s well beyond my understanding or control and I personally want nothing to do with it, in the nicest possible way. I know it will be well done and well guided. And, um, it’s nothing to do with me.”

With the movie being based around the adventures of a young Han Solo, it was unlikely that Ford would be a part of the movie, but it’s nice to know that he didn’t want to be involved anyway.
