It looks like Marvel and director James Gunn have identified their top pick to play the father of Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2.
The Wrap reports that Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight) leads their shortlist. According to the site, Russell is yet to be offered the role, nor has he read the script, but negotiations are expected to take place soon.
The identity of Star-Lord’s father remains a mystery, with James Gunn shooting down recent rumours from Heroic Hollywood as “completely false”.
