Greg Berlanti says deadline is looming for Supergirl / The Flash crossover this year

January 10, 2016 by Gary Collinson

From the moment that it was announced Arrow and The Flash producer Greg Berlanti was tackling Supergirl, there’s been speculation that the CBS series could cross over with one of the two Arrowverse shows on The CW. However, if the big DC crossover is going to happen this year, then the two networks are going to have to move quickly.

“I would love it, a lot of things would have to go right and people would have to say ‘Yes,’” states Berlanti (via EW). “It would have to figured out very soon. It would all have to be figured out in the next month or so. As it remains right now we’ve talked internally about how cool it would be, but we haven’t had official conversations. [The CW chief Mark Pedowitz] is supportive.”

While The CW may be supportive of the idea of a crossover, CBS chief Nina Tassler has previously played down the possibility, and subsequent rumours that the Supergirl’s full season order was dependent on a crossover proved to be false.
