We heard earlier today that Jessica Jones writer Scott Reynolds had joined the writing team for Iron Fist, which is set to debut on Netflix next year, but the question still remains: who is going to play Danny Rand?
Well according to his buddy Luke Cage, the decision has already been made.
“The actor has been cast, but he’s in a basement somewhere,” Colter joked with Collider about Iron Fist. “When the time is right, they’ll let him up and tell him where he is. I am [excited].”
Cage and Iron Fist have always been close friends, and worked together as Heroes For Hire. Does that mean we’ll see Luke Cage in both Jessica Jones and Iron Fist?
“I’ll get a nice little break, after doing Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Whether I’m in [his show], I don’t know, but there’s The Defenders,” Colter teases.
Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
Iron Fist is set to debut on Netflix in 2017 and will be followed by the second season of Jessica Jones. Luke Cage is rumoured to air this November, but before that we have the second season of Daredevil this March.
