R.I.P. David Bowie (1947 – 2016)

January 11, 2016 by Robert Kojder

There’s a star man, waiting in the sky.

Flickering Myth would like to pay respects to legendary musician David Bowie, who has passed away in the early hours of the morning following an 18-month battle with cancer. Below is an official release by his family from his Facebook page.

“January 10 2016 – David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.”

David Bowie’s new album Blackstar released last week. He also had a huge film presence as an actor in iconic films such as Labyrinth and appearances in Band Slam, The Prestige and Zoolander. His son, Duncan Jones, is working as a successful director with his sci-fi flick Moon, and the upcoming video game adaptation of Warcraft.
