Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which began filming a little over a week ago, has reportedly added Braveheart actor Tommy Flanagan to its recently announced cast. Heroic Hollywood first reported the rumour and claims that the actor is set to play a Ravager.
The Ravagers are a group of interstellar thieves and smugglers, lead by Michael Rooker’s Yondu Udonta in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The site reports that in the sequel, Flanagan’s character will be Yondu’s “right hand man.”
Flanagan’s other film and TV roles include Gladiator, AVP: Alien vs. Predator, Sin City, Smokin’ Aces, Sons of Anarchy and Revenge.
Lastly, as an interesting little tidbit, The Ravagers apparently “have a bounty out on Rocket Raccoon which causes conflict within the group” in the new film.
