J.K. Simmons has secured the role of Commissioner James Gordon in Warner Bros.’ upcoming Justice League Part One and Part Two, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Previous rumours claimed that the character of Gordon had died prior to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, presumably guesswork stemming from the fact there was no casting announcement for that film.
Simmons is no stranger to superhero movies, having played J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy.
