Any Inhumans fans eagerly awaiting the big screen debut of Black Bolt and company are going to be disappointed to hear that Marvel Studios plans to push back the release of the movie from its original July 2019 release date.
“Since we made our initial phase three announcement, we added Spider-Man, which was a big joyous coup for us,” states Feige. “We added Ant-Man and the Wasp, which was a big fun continuation of that story for us. Walt Disney Company has announced an Indiana Jones film for right around that same time. So I think it will shuffle off the current date that it’s on right now. How far down it shuffles, I’m not sure yet.”
It was rumoured back in October of last year that Marvel intended on scrapping the Inhumans movie entirely, with reports claiming that it was the TV side of Marvel had been pushing for the movie, hence the introduction of the Inhumans concept in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.; several sites dismissed the report as false, but given Feige’s comments it seems pretty clear that Inhumans is not a priority for Marvel Studios at this point in time.
