Justice League reveal coming on Tuesday, new villain rumours emerge

June 20, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Last week, several outlets were invited to the London set of Justice League, and it seems that Warner Bros. is set to pull back the curtain on its big DC ensemble on Tuesday morning, with various reports surfacing on Twitter to suggest a big reveal is incoming.

So, what could this reveal be? Well, the smart money would be on set reports from said outlets, but it’s also possible that Warner Bros. could give us the first official photo of the team all assembled, or perhaps even a teaser trailer, although that seems a little unlikely given that the movie isn’t out until November 2017. We will of course keep you posted…

While we await the reveal, some new villain rumours have popped up, although these come via Reddit (via MoviePilot) should be taken with a pinch of salt until we get something a little more concrete:

The villains for Justice League are Ares and Ocean Master. Ares will be weakened after Wonder Woman but the recent conflicts with the Kryptonians and previous wars have re-powered him. He will spark a war between Atlanteans and the Amazons so he can reach the height of his powers. Ocean Master betrays Aquaman and takes the thrown and leads the attack on the Amazons.

Those claims tie in to an earlier rumour from back in April which suggested that the first Justice League movie would feature a war between Atlantis and Themyscira. Although that being said, another rumour has claimed that Steppenwolf will be the main antagonist, so there’s definitely some guesswork going on somewhere.

Justice League will reunite Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor alongside J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) as Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard (The Danish Girl) as Mera and Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man) in an as-yet-unrevealed role. Part One is set for release on November 17th 2017, with Part Two following on June 14th 2019.
