Darth Vader clashed with Ahsoka Tano in the season two finale of Star Wars Rebels, with the fate of Anakin Skywalker’s former padawan unclear following their epic confrontation. However, speaking at Star Wars Celebration Europe today, Rebels creator Dave Filoni has suggested that Ahsoka may yet play a role in the third season of the animated show.
After initially stating that he planned for the season two finale to be Ahsoka’s last appearance in the Disney XD series, Filoni went on to that that: “It just might be possible [that we’ll see her again]. It doesn’t necessarily mean what some of us would hope it means. But it might be possible to see her again. She might have something to do.”

Speaking on The Star Wars Show after the panel, Filoni elaborated on his comments, saying: “The fan support behind her is a strong argument. I’ve always had a story in mind, so I haven’t changed that story in all honesty… She’s become very important as people realise she’s got a relationship to Anakin, Darth Vader, now more than ever. There’s a lot there as a character that I think is exciting to explore.”
