Despite the fact it still doesn’t have a completed script, the rumour sites have already tossed up plenty of speculation about Ben Affleck’s solo Batman movie, with previous reports claiming that it will incorporate elements of the comic book stories A Death in the Family and Under the Red Hood, and / or feature “most” of the Dark Knight’s Rogues Gallery.
Well, we now have another rumour courtesy of Batman-On-Film, which suggests that the film will “involve Batman being locked up in Arkham” for at least a portion of the film. The report also states that it’s unlikely to be a straight-up adaptation of the Batman: Arkham Asylum video game, nor Grant Morrison’s Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth.
While the rumour should be taken with a pinch of salt for the time being, it would certainly allow for many of Batman’s biggest foes to appear. And Affleck has previously stated that he will “borrow and steal great things that have been done before in the comics” and Morrison’s 1989 graphic novel certainly falls into that category.
Would you like to see Batman in Arkham Asylum for the solo movie? If not, where would you like to see the plot go? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
