With filming getting underway today, it has been announced that Christina Hendricks, Gillian Anderson, Terence Stamp, Stefanie Martini and Honor Keafsey have joined Max Irons and Glenn Close in director Gilles Paquet-Brenner (Sarah’s Key) adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Crooked House.
Based on Christie’s 1949 detective novel and scripted by Julian Fellows (Downton Abbey), Crooked House stars Irons as Charles Hayward, a private investigator looking to solve a grisly murder where everyone is a suspect – including Sophia (Martini), his fiancee, and the victim’s granddaughter.
“We are thrilled to be bringing Agatha Christie’s Crooked House – one of her own personal favorites, and one that has never been filmed before – to the big screen,” states producer Joe Abrams of Brilliant Films.
