It’s been rumoured ever since his name was first brought up as a possible addition to the cast, but now we have official confirmation that Michael Keaton is portraying the villain Adrian Toomes, a.k.a. The Vulture, in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
“We’ve had a wish list and most of them in the near-term are coming together,” said Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige when discussing upcoming villains for the Marvel Cinematic Universe with The Toronto Sun. “Cate Blanchett is playing Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. Michael Keaton’s Vulture in Spider-Man is something. And of course, finally, we’re showcasing Josh Brolin’s Thanos [in Avengers: Infinity War]. We’re looking forward to that very much.”
In addition to The Vulture, the film will see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man battling Phineas Mason / The Tinkerer (played by Michael Chernus), while Bokeem Woodbine is also said to be portraying Herman Schultz / Shocker.
