It’s all been building to this. Building and building and building. This climatic Marvel movie where Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will finally battle Thanos is now in production, and it seems yet another character is joining the cast.
Avengers: Infinity War — the closing of Phase Three of the MCU — is going to be a packed affair, everybody who is anybody is invited, and it looks like Benicio Del Toro’s The Collector is on the guest list as well.
Reported by MCU Exchange, Josh Brolin posted (and since deleted) an Instragram video discussing the scenes he is filming for the upcoming superhero extravaganza. In the video he apparently lists off a bunch of names he is working with. Names like Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana. However, also included amongst these names is no other than The Collector himself, Benicio Del Toro.

Del Toro made his debut as the character way back in Thor: The Dark World and then appeared more prominently in Guardians of the Galaxy. We’ve not seen him since however and there has been no official word on his future, so for fans of the character this will surely be pleasing news indeed.
Considering that virtually every character from the MCU will be appearing in Infinity War and its as-yet-untitled sequel it certainly doesn’t seem unreasonable that The Collector will show up. Exactly how, who knows…
Avengers: Infinity War is currently in production ahead of a release on May 2nd 2018, followed by the as-yet-untitled Avengers 4 on May 3rd 2019.
