Steven Spielberg reportedly wants to direct the Indiana Jones reboot with Chris Pratt

February 21, 2015 by admin

There had been some chatter from Deadline late last month that Disney were interested in rebooting the Indiana Jones franchise with Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Chris Pratt in the leading role, replacing Harrison Ford. Well, now there is some more wood to add to this fire.

According to Deadline’s sources, Steven Spielberg himself is keen to direct the reboot. The site adds that Spielberg will helm the movie, so long as the script meets his satisfactions.

“Word from Spielberg’s camp is that it’s too early to determine what will happen because there is no script yet and they are just getting going,” the website writes. “It makes a lot of sense though, as Guardians Of The Galaxy star Pratt was Spielberg’s hand-picked choice to be the star of Jurassic World.”

While Deadline do have a track record of breaking movie news stories, they’re doing a fair amount of backtracking in the article to ensure they’ve covered their arses if this doesn’t come to fruition. So for now, it’s all speculation. But would you like to see Chris Pratt put on the fedora and go on some archaeological adventures?

Chris Pratt will next be seen in Jurassic World, which is released on June 12th and is executive produced by Steven Spielberg.
