Kate Bosworth (The Art of More) and her director husband Michael Polish (The Astronaut Farmer) are set to bring the tragic story of Sharon Tate to the big screen, with Polish writing and directing an adaptation of Greg King’s book Sharon Tate and the Manson Murders.
Bosworth will take on the role of Tate, a model and actress who was brutally murdered by members of the Manson family in August 1969 whilst pregnant with her first child to her filmmaker husband Roman Polanski.
As well as the horrific crime, the film will explore Tate’s career, her marriage and other relationships in Hollywood, with Polish stating that he plans to “approach this film with a careful consideration, both from a visual sense and by crafting her story truthfully and with the dignity she deserves.”
