Chris Evans is Hollywood’s “best value” star for the second year running

December 12, 2016 by Gary Collinson

A few days ago, Forbes published its list of the most overpaid Hollywood stars of 2016, and now we’ve got its annual list of the best value stars of the year, which sees Chris Evans retaining top spot for the second year in a row.

Evans is joined by several Marvel co-stars in the top ten in Chris Pratt, Scarlett Johansson, Vin Diesel and Robert Downey Jr., along with X-Men star Jennifer Lawrence and Batman himself, Ben Affleck. Mila Kunis, Jennifer Aniston and Matt Damon round out the remaining spots.

Here’s the top ten ‘Best Actors for the Buck’, which is calculated on the box office returns of each of the stars’ last three live-action wide-releases:

1. Chris Evans – $135.80 for every $1 paid
2. Chris Pratt – $125.40 for every $1 paid
3. Scarlett Johansson – $88.60 for every $1 paid.
4. Mila Kunis – $49.50 for every $1 paid
5. Vin Diesel – $32 for every $1 paid
6. Jennifer Aniston – $27.80 for every $1 paid
7. Ben Affleck – $20.10 for every $1 paid
8. Robert Downey Jr. – $18.40 for every $1 paid
9. Matt Damon – $17.70 for every $1 paid
9. Jennifer Lawrence – $17.70 for every $1 paid
