A sequel to Doctor Strange is all but assured, although Derrickson has revealed that Marvel is too busy with its Phase Three plans to press ahead with Doctor Strange 2 at the moment. However, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme will return this year in Thor: Ragnarok, as well as next year’s Avengers: Infinity War.
