Joe and Anthony Russo are set to follow up their work on Avengers: Infinity War and the untitled Avengers 4 with another superhero project, as The Wrap is reporting that they are set to produce a TV adaptation of the Valiant comic book series Quantum and Woody.
The official description for the comic book series by writer Christopher Priest and artist Mark Bright reads:
“Once upon a time, Eric and Woody Henderson were inseparable. Adopted brothers. Best friends. Brilliant minds. Years later, they are estranged siblings, petty rivals, and washed-up failures. But when their father’s murder leads them into the throes of a life-altering scientific accident, Eric and Woody will find themselves with a whole new purpose – and a perfectly legitimate reason to wear costumes and fight crime. Go big or go home, folks! Quantum and Woody are coming!”
The pilot episode for Quantum and Woody will be written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, who contributed to the script for Marvel’s Ant-Man and are currently working on the sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Quantum and Woody marks Valiant’s latest step in expanding into the world of TV and film; The CW is developing a potential Dr. Mirage series, while Bloodshot and Harbinger movies are in the works from Sony as part of a shared Valiant cinematic universe.
