The Night Manager season 2 in development

March 9, 2017 by Samuel Brace

The Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie-starring spy drama The Night Manager is currently in development for a second season.

The first season aired both on the BBC in the UK and AMC in the US. The series received critical acclaim upon its release and has stoked more than a few flames in the direction of Hiddleston taking up the mantle of Bond when Daniel Craig finally steps down.

Adapted from a one off novel by John Le Carre, fans had been hoping that a second season might somehow be produced. And now those wishes seem to have been granted as director Susanne Bier has confirmed that scripts for season 2 are currently going through the development process.

She spoke to Broadcast saying, “We all very much want to do a season two, but the thing we absolutely do not want is to do something that does not live up to the level of season one. That would be a really bad idea”.

When this potential second season might be is unclear but if the scripts are only now in the development phase don’t expect more of The Night Manager in the immediate future.
